Narita Airport, Japan

December 28, 2009
Narita Airport has a huge terminal. It’s quite confusing to be walking around so it’s better to get a copy of the airport map. We had a connecting flight from KL to Atlanta. We took Japan Airlines from KL-Japan. We were on transit for 8 hours in Narita Airport. Had to check in at the connecting flights counter because we fly by Delta from Japan to Atlanta. There was a flight to Detroit ahead of us. And as you can guess, there’s a lot of media people doing the pre-departure coverage for the Delta Northwest Airline Flight to Detroit. It’s just next to our boarding area… so the hubby and I walked around, hoping one of those the camera swould accidentally come our way so we’d be seen on Japan tv. LOL.

The airport has such expensive food. We wanted to eat Japanese for our breakfast but ended up eating McDonald’s instead. LOL. How much for a Japanese food? You could have a range from 1,000 – 1,500 Yen per person for a breakfast. That’s something like 50-60RM. Moshi, Moshi! LOL.

We didn’t have that enough Japanese Yen with us so we settled for McDonald’s breakfast and paid 1,100 Yen for two. Actually, it’s worth the money also as it came with a huge portion.

I love their lounges. It is sooo comfortable and cozy. I dozed off on one of these seats here.

Anyways, the image below was our plane food… meatloaf with vegetables… loved it.

I am really getting hungry. Will post more pics later… Please watch out for them. I am now in the stunning land of America. Just can’t stress it ’nuff. LOL.

Our friends invited us over at Sunway Resort Suites for a dinner on Christmas eve. After dinner, they showed us their unit up in the hotel. This was the view we got from there… from the 21st floor. The Subang Jaya skyline… or rather Sunway Pyramid skyline. :D It’s the first time I’ve watermarked my photo. I believe I’m the only one who’s got this shot of Sunway Pyramid with this perspective. Their suite was very private, that’s why.
Sanjay, Schenker’s friend, invited him to a dolphin show at Sunway Pyramid. We all obliged and paraded to Sunway Pyramid to see the dolphins and the sea lions show.

The entrance fee for adults was 52 RM. Kind of too expensive. We got the family package which would include 2 adults and 2 kids for 120RM. Although the family package was cheaper, it was still too expensive with that 45-minute show. It wasn’t worth it. My only consolation was the kids had a great time watching the show together. It’s like building memories for them with their friends while still young. Sanjay is Schenker’s best friend. They go to the same school and live in the same area.
