My travel tale continues now from San Diego to Bakersfield. We spent 3 days in San Diego (one of which we spent a day drive to Mexico). From there, we took a bus (yes, a bus) that would take us back to Los Angeles then to Bakersfield. It took us 6 hours to get to Bakersfield. A lot of our friends asked us why we took the bus. We must have a horrible time, they said. But hey, it wasn’t that bad. The only thing was the waiting time in LA bus terminal… otherwise, it was okay. Going to Bakersfield was like passing through a desert place. I didn’t take pictures though coz it was going to be dark and I didn’t want to keep opening my hand bag to take out my camera. Just wanted to be careful.
The highlight of my trip to Bakersfield was the Mexican food. Esther’s Delight it was called. The dish that I ordered. The second highlight was the 99 cents and 1 dollar shops. I had a shopping frenzy there, as you can guess.
After Bakersfield, went back to LA to spend our last 4 remaining days in the US.
