family activities

Sanjay, Schenker’s friend, invited him to a dolphin show at Sunway Pyramid. We all obliged and paraded to Sunway Pyramid to see the dolphins and the sea lions show.

The entrance fee for adults was 52 RM. Kind of too expensive. We got the family package which would include 2 adults and 2 kids for 120RM. Although the family package was cheaper, it was still too expensive with that 45-minute show. It wasn’t worth it. My only consolation was the kids had a great time watching the show together. It’s like building memories for them with their friends while still young. Sanjay is Schenker’s best friend. They go to the same school and live in the same area.
Finally, Krispy Kreme opened in Sunway Pyramid. The first Krispy Kreme that was opened in Malaysia was in Berjaya Times Square and when my Pinoy KL Blogger friends decided to meet up one day, we met there. It was my first time eating Krispy Kreme. I am not really a “sweets” person, but I don’t mind eating doughnuts. I had glazed doughnuts then and it tasted like an ordinary glazed doughnuts that you can get from Dunkin Donuts or any other doughnut outlets.

But today, when we visited Sunway Pyramid, we saw that Krispy Kreme was already open. Since my kiddos love doughnuts, we went inside. I couldn’t resist when I saw they had cookies and cream flavoured doughnuts. So I ordered one for myself. I felt so guilty eating it… but really, the taste was soooo divine. There goes my USANA Reset diet… I guess it flew the moment the cookies and cream flavour touched my palette.

Anyways, the kids enjoyed Krispy Kreme. I don’t mind going back there again.
We had some guests last week. My kids loved them so much. We went to Sunway Pyramid to do ice skating. Schenker was ecstatic. We explained to Samantha that she couldn’t go inside the skating rink because she was still too small. She understood. We’re glad she did. The age limit for kids is 3 years old. She hasn’t turned 3 yet. So she wasn’t allowed.

She was happy enough to feel the coldness of the ice under her feet.

And he took his first few steps! It was a milestone for him. I remember how excited I was to see him taking his first ever steps at 12 months old. It took him long to take his first steps because he’s a very cautious type of boy. He’s scared to hurt himself. I think he does the same thing with ice skating. But of course, I was happy enough to see him taking his first steps in ice skating last Wednesday. After all, it was only his second time to do it. The first time was 1.5 years ago!
